The science behind LUMI
We tested LUMI’s effectiveness against microbes on makeup, including E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus, as required by the WHO for UV disinfection. Violet UV-C reduced viability within 2–10 minutes, with 10 minutes eliminating all colonies.
LUMI defaults to a 2-minute cycle, removing 99.9% of microbes on in-use makeup while prioritizing efficiency. Testing carried out at Medical Technologies Innovation Facility (MTIF).
